You want your memories to last.

So do we.

I’ve had several clients tell me sheepishly that they never printed off their images, that their precious family photographs are sitting on their computer in a folder they haven’t looked at in a while, on their phone to show people occasionally, on a USB in a drawer somewhere, or, worse, somewhere they can’t remember.

And it’s not because they didn’t love their portraits. They love their portraits and rave about them often. It’s because they “just didn’t get around to it.”

Can you imagine if our parents “just didn’t get around to it”? Or our grandparents “just didn’t get around to it”? I know one of my strongest memories growing up were portraits on the wall at my great-grandmother’s house. She had photographs of each of her children on her shelves, and her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. I distinctly remember a photograph of the entire group of her children and grandchildren (when my mother was very young) hanging on the wall, and getting to see all the faces of my aunts and uncles and cousins when they were children, with their parents standing behind them, framed and hung on the wall with pride.

I remember seeing a single family portrait from my dad with his mother and sister when he was no more than 5 or 6, and being awed by the quality and how amazing it was to see my grandmother with hair that wasn’t white, and just how much my little brother resembled my dad at the same age.

These portraits, even though just a fleeting moment in time, have had a huge impact on my life. I was able to see the past, hold it in my hands, and stare in wonder at the life and people who came before me.

I would have never gotten to see these things if my family “just didn’t get around to it” when it came to printing their portraits.

That’s why I’m making a change in my own packages. From now on, ALL of my photography packages, from the smallest to the largest, from mini sessions to full-day weddings, will include printed products. The prints I provide come from the highest quality professional labs and will stand the test of time – so your grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, will be able to hold them in their hands and feel the same sense of wonder as I did. You’ll be able to hold real, tangible memories in your hands, and pass them down to the people you love most.

Don’t worry – digital photographs will still be included, as well. However, no longer will you be walking away from your session from just a digital download, or a disc or USB. You’ll get to hold the highest quality prints in your hands, show them to your friends, and even gift them to family members and loved ones. Being a portrait photographer in Pueblo, Colorado, this is a step in a very different direction than many of the other photographers around me. But, I want to be set apart from everyone else, and provide my clients with what I believe is the absolute best of what I have to offer.
